Is it worth spending 1 day in Salt Lake City if you only have 3 days to split with Yellowstone National Park? - yellowstone national park tours
So I will fly to Salt Lake City on Friday night and 1 night. My main goal is in fact the Yellowstone National Park (which requires 6 hours drive from SLC) and I have) basically 3 full days (Saturday and Monday. I was not in Salt Lake City and I am very keen to visit the Mormon temple + + Capitol Lake, but many of my friends told me to jump only in Salt Lake City and spend 3 days together Yellowstone (coz apparently even 3 days are not sufficient to cover the whole park). What do you suggest? Thank you ....
ps I'm trying to stop the Yellowstone in the first 2.5 days, and perhaps you will find no temple in the Capitol on Monday, but closed on Labor Day: (

You can visit the temple anyway, you can go to the park, call the Temple Square and the Capitol building, is of course open to the public. But honestly, that's not much to see. To once in a lifetime, of course, do not see, but take too much out of the way or too long for your trip to Yellowstone. On the Great Salt Lake? Do not worry once. This sucks, and is a big lake. Not much to see the CEPT for the brine shrimp. Here, too, can visit once in your life, but you go to Yellowstone, for sure.
I want to spend time in the park ... There is so much to do. SLC, for another trip. 3 days is not enough.
Note that you must return SLC .... may take one or two hours later.
Salt Lake City has some interesting things, but it is a dirty and enjoy Bettwiesen everything there is in Yellowstone to see.
