What happens to retirement pay when two married Soldiers divorce? - retirement pay

When two soldiers divorce and a bride, or both, in retirement, as is retirement pay at all? For the soldiers, civilian spouses are married to these rules very simple. What happens when the soldiers of different ranks (officer, entered as an example) with a big difference in pay?

My understanding is that one half of the profits between them, including pension systems.
